Smoothie Bowls

Breakfast, snack or dessert, kids and adults alike, smoothie bowls really are great any time of the day and for the whole family! They are so simple to whip up and as versatile as your imagination. 12336411_10206852936154996_1764695575_n

I always have bags of chopped seasonal fruit, purchased cheaply from my local farmers market, in my freezer ready to go for smoothies and superfood treats. This makes these a convenient and affordable snack too.

Here’s some of my fav flavour combos to help get your own creative juices flowing. You’ll need a decent power blender- a great investment for your health if you do not already own one.

Add a little liquid at a time to desired consistency, and if you make a boo boo and it comes out more like a juice, then simply throw in some ice and blend again.

Add any of your favourite Super foods to these base recipes- think avocado, greens, chia seeds, hemp seeds, coconut oil, cacao powder, cacao nibs, turmeric, nut butter, protein powder, bee pollen, green tea powder etc
